What is Reiki?
The System of Reiki
The system of reiki I study and practice today originates from the traditional Japanese teachings of Mikao Usui, which he began in the early 1920’s, after having a profound & inspiring spiritual experience of his own.
The word Reiki is written in two Japanese Kanji, REI – meaning Universal KI – meaning life energy. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or emotional pain. Reiki aims to improve the flow of energy, removing blockages – opening us up to our true self.
Reconnecting Mind, Body & Soul.
Reiki has been shown to promote healing and assist with many conditions such as anxiety, pain management, stress, feeling overwhelmed & more. It is used in medical settings around the world to compliment other treatments.

Do not anger
Do not worry
Be humble
Be honest in your work
Be compassionate to yourself & others

The teachings of reiki follow 5 precepts

"...since my session, I feel 'lighter', more innerly harmonious (if that makes sense), more patient, and a much longer fuse with my kids, kinda like someone has taken a cleaning cloth to a dirty window"

"I felt so amazingly calm, clear headed, focused and in tune with my thoughts. I can highly recommend Sandra and her Reiki practice..."
“Healing gives us back to ourselves. Not to hide or fight anymore. But to sit still, calm our minds, listen to the universe & allow our spirts to dance on the wind ……. It is about embracing our life force to create a new & vibrant fabric that keeps us grounded and connected”
